We are pleased to announce that we are introducing changes to the Fairtrade Trader Standard decided by the Standards Committee (SC) in June 2017 in order to extend Fairtrade Sourcing Program (FSP) to all product categories except coffee and bananas.
The revised standard is the result of a standard revision in line with Fairtrade’s global strategy for 2020 to expand the ways in which farmers can get better access to world markets. Following the success of FSP for cocoa, sugar and cotton, Fairtrade’s global strategy includes an extension of the Fairtrade Sourcing Program. To accompany this change Fairtrade Sourcing Program has been renamed Fairtrade Sourced Ingredient or FSI.
